THIS IS A DIGITAL PRODUCT

The 2027 Digital Growing Planner tells you what to sow, plant, harvest and do throughout the year, while giving you plenty of space to plan your own allotment, vegetable garden or container-growing empire.

Whether you have an allotment, a few raised beds or three pots and an unreasonable amount of optimism, this planner will help you make better use of your space, stay one step ahead of the seasons and feel far less overwhelmed by the whole thing.

What’s inside?

Monthly growing guides:

Every month from January to December includes:

  • Key gardening jobs
  • What to sow, plant and harvest
  • Seasonal growing advice
  • A clear monthly to-do list

Fully dated weekly pages for 2027

Every week is already dated and includes practical guidance suited to that particular point in the growing year, alongside:

  • Timely gardening jobs and reminders
  • Weekly planning space
  • Weather notes
  • Garden observations

Because “do some gardening at some point in spring” is not quite specific enough.

What is different about the 2027 edition?

I tentatively asked for feedback from everyone who bought last years planner, and, well...

I've removed 12 pages of repetitive reflections, added 22 pages of genuinely useful informative material and rebuilt the sections that were not working as hard as they could.

Generic weeks have become fully dated 2027 planner pages. Quick challenges have been replaced with practical weekly guidance explaining what to do, why it is useful and how to approach it at that particular point in the season.

Complicated soil testing has become simple, actionable advice, while clearer instructions, page numbers, improved layouts and a Quick Find contents page make the whole planner much easier to use.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an allotment to use it?

No. This digital gardening planner works for allotments, vegetable gardens, raised beds, balconies, patios and container gardens.

Whenever the planner refers to a bed, you can treat that as a planter, pot, trough or other growing area. The sowing prompts, weekly checklists and succession-planning ideas can all be scaled down for smaller spaces.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. The planner was created because gardening information often seems to be either so vague that it is useless or so complicated that you need to lie down halfway through reading it.

Everything is written in plain English, with practical explanations to help you understand what to do and why you are doing it. There is also plenty inside for more experienced growers who want to plan crop rotations, interplanting and succession sowing.

Can I type or draw directly on it?

The PDF includes interactive fields that you can type into using compatible PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

You can also import the planner into an annotation app such as Goodnotes or Notability if you want to write or draw on it using a tablet and stylus.

Can I print it at home?

Yes. The planner is designed at A4 size and can be printed using a standard home printer.

You can print the entire planner or only the pages you want to use on paper, such as the bed-planning maps, weekly pages or tracking sheets for personal use only.

How will I receive the planner?

You will receive a digital download link by email as soon as your purchase is complete. There is no physical product and nothing will be sent in the post.

Can I use it year after year?

The calendar and weekly pages are fully dated for 2027, so those sections are designed specifically for the 2027 growing season.

The sowing guides, plot-design tools, bed-planning pages, tracking logs and educational sections can continue to be used as helpful references in future years. New dated editions will be available for each growing year.

Does it cover flowers or only vegetables?

The main focus is growing food, but the planner also includes companion flowers such as marigolds, nasturtiums and calendula. These can bring more colour and diversity into your garden while supporting pollinators and other beneficial insects.

Is it UK-specific?

Yes. The sowing, planting and harvesting windows have been written with the UK climate in mind, with detailed frost-date guidance and plant-protection advice.

Conditions vary across the UK, so the planner also helps you adjust timings for your own location rather than treating one sowing date as law.

If you grow outside the UK, a separate international digital edition will be available with more adaptable growing guidance and less location-specific timing.
